Woman Icon of the Year

I am honoured to be the recipient of the ‘Woman Icon of the Year Award’ (overseas) in the International Inspirational Women Awards 2024.

An initiative by India’s GISR Foundation, which helps to educate and more generally support disadvantaged girls across India, the awards recognise and acknowledge the ‘invincible potential of women change makers’, and the ‘commitment, courage and confidence of exceptional women across dimensions and geographical boundaries.’

I am grateful to the foundation and to the awards’ jury for their recognition of the value of both my own work and of all this year’s winners across the various award categories. I am also grateful to my mother and to all the women, and also to the men, that have supported my work over the years.
